Medical Emergency: Call 155 (ambulance) or 112 immediately. Do not book an online consultation for emergencies.
Why Expats Choose This Service
Access to English-speaking primary care in Czech Republic is genuinely difficult for anyone outside a handful of private clinics in central Prague -- most of which require membership or prior registration, and operate only during weekday clinic hours.
Global Health offers something different: no membership, no registration requirement, no geographic restriction. Our doctors are registered with the Czech Medical Chamber and consult in English, Arabic, and Bengali by secure video call -- same day, seven days a week, from anywhere in Czech Republic.
Already have a Czech GP? This service works alongside your existing care -- for acute issues, second opinions, or situations where you need to speak to a doctor today rather than waiting for your next scheduled appointment.

What Your Consultation Includes
Full clinical assessment
Your doctor takes a complete history of your symptoms, relevant medical background, and current medications -- and conducts a structured clinical assessment by video, to the same standard as an in-person consultation.
Clear explanation in plain English
You leave your consultation knowing exactly what is happening, what to do next, and when to seek further care. Our doctors take time to answer your questions -- no rushed five-minute appointment, no language barrier.
eRecept -- electronic prescription where clinically appropriate
When clinically indicated, your doctor issues an eRecept code electronically. You receive the code directly and present it at any pharmacy of your choice in Czech Republic.
Referral letters and medical documentation
When specialist referral, blood tests, or imaging are needed, your doctor issues the relevant documentation on the same day.
Sick notes -- including eNeschopenka
If you are employed under a Czech contract and require sick leave certification, your doctor can issue the appropriate documentation -- including electronic sick leave notification (eNeschopenka) to your employer and the Czech Social Security Administration (CSSZ) -- where clinically indicated. The decision to certify sick leave is always made by the doctor after full clinical assessment.
Understanding Czech Healthcare as an Expat
The Czech public health system is technically strong and covers employed residents automatically. In practice, as a foreigner, you face three common obstacles:
- Registration with a GP takes time -- and until you are registered, access to the public system for non-emergency care is limited
- English-speaking GPs in the public system are rare outside major cities
- Private English-language clinics in Prague are excellent but require membership, prior registration, or operate during limited hours
Global Health operates outside these constraints. No registration, no membership, no geographic limit. You book, you consult, you receive a clear clinical outcome -- in English, same day.
