What to know before testing
Eat normally beforehand
An unusual diet in the days before collecting gives an unrepresentative picture of your gut.
Wait after antibiotics
If you have recently finished a course, leave at least four weeks so your microbiome has settled.
Post it the same day
Collect and send on the same day so the sample reaches the laboratory in good condition.

How long do results take?
Sequencing takes longer than a routine blood test — expect 4–6 weeks from the point your sample reaches the laboratory.
Will this diagnose IBS or coeliac disease?
No. It profiles the organisms in your gut and gives dietary insights. It is not a diagnostic test — persistent digestive symptoms should be assessed by a doctor.
