Global Health is a regulated digital health platform that connects patients with licensed GPs across six markets in Europe and Latin America. In two years since founding, the company has built multilingual clinical infrastructure serving patients in Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Spain, Romania, and Brazil — offering same-day GP and specialist consultations, sick leave documentation, prescription renewals, and medical certificates, with clinicians available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Czech, Arabic, and Bengali.
Primary care access is a growing challenge across Europe. In Ireland, GP waiting times regularly extend to several weeks. Across the EU, an estimated 43 million people live and work outside their country of origin — a patient population that is frequently underserved by national healthcare systems not designed for internationally mobile lives. Global Health was built specifically to serve this gap: patients who need care today, not next month, in a language they understand.
The new platform, developed entirely in-house and launching in July 2026, represents a significant upgrade in the patient and clinician experience. Built for speed, simplicity, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, it is designed to scale Global Health's clinical operations across current and future markets. Further improvements are planned over the coming months as the team continues to develop the product around real patient needs.
Global Health was co-founded by Dr. Tiago Miguel Figueira, a physician dual-registered with the Irish Medical Council and the Ordem dos Médicos in Portugal, who serves as Clinical Director. The company operates under the Czech legal entity Global Guest s.r.o. and is registered with data protection authorities in Ireland, Portugal, and Czech Republic.
