In a medical emergency, call 112 or 999. An online consultation is not an emergency service.
An online GP for people in Dublin
See a GP registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) by secure video call, from home, from work or from anywhere in Dublin. You do not need to travel to a surgery or wait in a walk-in clinic. Same-day appointments are available, subject to doctor availability, and you do not need to download an app.
When people in Dublin use it
- Your own GP has no appointment today
- You are new to Dublin and do not have a GP yet
- You need a sick cert assessment for work or college
- You want advice on a common, non-emergency health concern, such as a cough, a sore throat or a rash
- You need a review of a treatment you already take
What the GP can do
The doctor reviews your symptoms and medical history and explains the next steps. When it is clinically appropriate, the doctor may issue a treatment plan, a sick certificate, a referral or a request for tests. None of these is automatic: the doctor decides after the assessment.
If the doctor decides you need a sick cert, it is included in the €39 consultation at no extra cost. Sick certificates for Department of Social Protection Illness Benefit claims need a paper form (IB1) completed by your GP: our doctors can advise on this during the consultation.
Blood tests in Dublin

When you need in-person care in Dublin
Some problems need a physical examination, urgent tests or treatment. If the doctor decides that online care is not enough, they will tell you clearly and direct you to the right service, such as your own GP, a GP out-of-hours service, a minor injury unit or an emergency department. In a medical emergency, call 112 or 999.
Price
A GP video consultation costs €39. Consultations start from €29 for a treatment review. Each service shows its price before you book.
