A word from our clinical director

“

Dear patients,

It's a pleasure to welcome you to this September edition of our newsletter. Over the past months, our team in Ireland has been steadily expanding the range of specialist care available to you, from new cardiology diagnostics you can now access from home, to dedicated consultations in geriatric medicine, adult ADHD and oncology. Each addition reflects the same goal: bringing the right specialist to you, wherever you are, without unnecessary delay.

Behind these services is something we value just as much as clinical excellence: the long-term relationship we hope to build with each of you. Good healthcare is rarely a single appointment. It's continuity, a doctor who knows your history, and a team you can rely on as your needs change over time. That is what we are working to offer, month after month.

Thank you for placing your trust in Global Health. We look forward to continuing to care for you and your family.

Dr Tiago Miguel Figueira

Clinical Director, Global Health Ireland · IMC registered

New cardiology test

24h and 48h Holter monitor at home, nationwide

Worried about your heart rhythm, palpitations or unexplained dizziness? Global Health now offers ambulatory ECG (Holter monitor) testing delivered straight to your door, anywhere in Ireland.

Here's how it works:

  1. We post the Holter device to your home, with simple step-by-step instructions.
  2. You fit the device yourself and go about your normal day for 24 hours or 48 hours, as requested by your doctor.
  3. A courier collects the device from your home once the recording ends.
  4. One of our consultant cardiologists analyses your heart rhythm data and prepares a full clinical report.
  5. Your report is sent securely to you and to the referring doctor.

Prefer an in-person fitting? You can also book your Holter monitor at our Dublin clinic. Convenient, easy and accessible either way.

Diabetes, the silent disease

Type 2 diabetes often develops silently, with no obvious symptoms for months or years, while raised blood sugar quietly affects the heart, kidneys, eyes and nerves. Our latest article explains why regular monitoring by your GP is essential for long-term health.
