Why online dermatology is needed in Portugal, now
Portugal faces a structural shortage of dermatologists in the National Health Service (SNS). Although there are 489 dermatologists registered with the Ordem dos Médicos, only 153 currently practise in the SNS — fewer than five years ago. Waiting lists are, in some cases, extreme: in the Alentejo, priority patients wait up to 1,353 days — more than four years — for a first appointment. In May 2026, the government opened 35 new posts for newly qualified specialists, but retention remains a challenge due to unattractive salaries and working conditions.
That is why the dermatology teleconsultation market in Portugal is growing strongly — both in metropolitan areas and in regions with a greater shortage of specialists, and also among foreign residents in Portugal. Owing to its visual nature, dermatology is one of the specialties best suited to remote consultation.

The position: Dermatologist for online consultations
We are looking for licensed dermatologists practising in Portugal to join our online clinic. Through our platform, you will carry out remote dermatology consultations with patients across the country, with full flexibility to manage your working model.

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Dermatology and Venereology
- Experience with online consultation tools is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
