Why online allergy and clinical immunology is needed in Portugal, now
In 2026, the average wait for a first Allergy and Clinical Immunology appointment in the National Health Service (SNS) is 224 days — 87% above the Guaranteed Maximum Response Time of 120 days. The Ordem dos Médicos identifies as the main causes the outdated hospital referral network, which should have been revised in 2023 and has still not been updated, and the lack of reimbursement for allergen immunotherapy, which hinders appropriate patient follow-up and the training of new specialists in an area already facing a shortage of professionals.
Allergy and clinical immunology teleconsultation is already an established practice in Portugal, with private units and digital platforms offering diagnosis and follow-up of asthma, rhinitis, eczema and food or drug allergies, including immunotherapy adjustment — always with the caveat that severe symptoms, such as breathing difficulty or severe hypersensitivity reactions, require urgent in-person assessment.

The position: Allergist and Clinical Immunologist for online consultations
We are looking for licensed allergists and clinical immunologists practising in Portugal to join our online clinic. Through our platform, you will carry out remote allergy and clinical immunology consultations with patients across the country, with full flexibility to manage your working model.
- 100% remote — consultations from anywhere, by video, with access to the patient's test results and allergy history
- Flexible hours — choose the hours and days that suit you best
- Main or complementary activity — ideal as a complement to an existing practice or hospital work
- Clear referral pathways — defined protocols for immediately referring cases of severe reaction (breathing difficulty, anaphylaxis) to in-person emergency care
- Fully integrated electronic prescriptions — including renewal of chronic medication (e.g. inhalers, antihistamines), with no additional paperwork

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Allergy and Clinical Immunology
- Experience with online consultation tools is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
