Why online neurology is needed in Portugal, now
Portugal has a density of only 4.6 neurologists per 100,000 inhabitants — a figure below the European average — and the distribution of these specialists across the country is deeply uneven. This shortage is one of the critical factors behind the waiting lists of the National Health Service (SNS), which grew by between 13.6% and 17% in 2025, with around half of hospital appointments taking place outside the Guaranteed Maximum Response Times. The trend continues to worsen in 2026.
Conditions such as migraine — one of the most common and disabling neurological disorders — benefit particularly from continuous remote follow-up, and there are already several platforms and initiatives in Portugal dedicated specifically to this type of follow-up, a sign of real and growing demand.

The position: Neurologist for online consultations
We are looking for licensed neurologists practising in Portugal to join our online clinic. Through our platform, you will carry out remote neurology consultations with patients across the country, with full flexibility to manage your working model.
- 100% remote — consultations from anywhere, by video, with access to the patient's clinical history and test results
- Flexible hours — choose the hours and days that suit you best
- Main or complementary activity — ideal as a complement to an existing practice or hospital work
- Fully integrated electronic prescriptions — including renewal of chronic medication, with no additional paperwork

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Neurology
- Experience with online consultation tools is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
