Why online pulmonology is needed in Portugal, now
At the end of 2025, the National Health Service (SNS) recorded around 1.09 million patients waiting for a specialist appointment, an increase that the SNS executive board itself attributes to insufficient staff in the face of growing demand. Chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma and sleep apnoea — conditions that require regular, continuous follow-up — are among those that benefit most from closer and more frequent monitoring, which is precisely what teleconsultation makes possible.
Pulmonology teleconsultation is already an established practice in Portugal, with specialised units offering remote follow-up for COPD and asthma, and even dedicated sleep apnoea programmes, including analysis of sleep studies and adjustment of CPAP/BPAP treatment — a sign of real demand for this model in chronic respiratory conditions.

The position: Pulmonologist for online consultations
We are looking for licensed pulmonologists practising in Portugal to join our online clinic. Through our platform, you will carry out remote pulmonology consultations with patients across the country, with full flexibility to manage your working model.
- 100% remote — consultations from anywhere, by video, with access to the patient's lung function tests and sleep studies
- Flexible hours — choose the hours and days that suit you best
- Main or complementary activity — ideal as a complement to an existing practice or hospital work
- Clear referral pathways — defined protocols for immediately referring cases of severe exacerbation (significant breathing difficulty) to in-person emergency care
- Fully integrated electronic prescriptions — including renewal of chronic medication (inhalers, CPAP/BPAP therapy), with no additional paperwork

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Pulmonology
- Experience with telemedicine tools is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
