Why teleradiology is needed in Portugal, now
Access to medical imaging in Portugal is far from uniform: according to the Entidade Reguladora da Saúde, 154 municipalities — around 15.4% of the population — have no contracted private radiology provision at all. At the same time, almost 60% of radiologists in Portugal work in the private sector, outside the National Health Service (SNS), which widens regional inequalities in access.
Teleradiology — the electronic transmission of images for remote interpretation and reporting — is already an established practice in Portugal, with specialist companies providing this service to hospitals and clinics, including continuous remote support (24 hours a day, every day of the year). It is a particularly effective model for bringing specialist interpretation to areas without local coverage, without requiring the radiologist to travel.

The position: Radiologist for remote reporting
We are looking for licensed radiologists practising in Portugal to join our team. You will review imaging studies and issue reports remotely through our platform, with full flexibility to manage your workload and working hours.

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Radiology
- Experience with teleradiology/PACS systems is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
Why now
With 15.4% of the population living in municipalities without contracted private radiology provision, teleradiology is one of the most direct ways to reduce this gap in access.
