Why online rheumatology is needed in Portugal, now
Rheumatology coverage in the National Health Service (SNS) is structurally uneven: several hospitals do not even have a department dedicated to the specialty, which leaves many patients without nearby access to rheumatology care. This problem adds to the wider context of the SNS — at the end of 2025, more than 1.1 million patients were waiting for a first specialist appointment, a year-on-year increase of more than 13%, and between January and May 2026 around 50.2% of first appointments took place outside the Guaranteed Maximum Response Times.
Rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis and osteoarthritis require, in most cases, continuous follow-up — medication adjustments, review of test results, monitoring of response to treatment — which is particularly well suited to the teleconsultation model, even when the initial diagnosis or more complex assessments require, in some cases, an in-person examination.

The position: Rheumatologist for online consultations
We are looking for licensed rheumatologists practising in Portugal to join our online clinic. Through our platform, you will carry out remote rheumatology consultations with patients across the country, with full flexibility to manage your working model.
- 100% remote — consultations from anywhere, by video, with access to the patient's test results and imaging
- Flexible hours — choose the hours and days that suit you best
- Main or complementary activity — ideal as a complement to an existing practice or hospital work
- Fully integrated electronic prescriptions — including renewal of chronic medication (e.g. biologics, DMARDs), with no additional paperwork

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Rheumatology
- Experience with telemedicine tools is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
