Why online urology is needed in Portugal, now
In some hospital units of the National Health Service (SNS), the average waiting time for a Urology appointment reaches 10.5 months, with compliance rates for the Guaranteed Maximum Response Time of only between 38.9% and 48.6%, depending on the unit. This delay is part of a wider picture: at the end of 2025, the SNS had more than a million patients waiting for a specialist appointment, a structural problem that budget increases have not managed to solve, given that the training cycle for new specialists takes several years.
Urology is also a specialty in which teleconsultation offers a particular advantage: many of the most common conditions — benign prostatic hyperplasia, erectile dysfunction, changes in libido — involve topics that many patients prefer to discuss with more privacy and less embarrassment than in a waiting room. Several platforms and clinics in Portugal are already responding to this demand for discreet and accessible consultations.

The position: Urologist for online consultations
We are looking for licensed urologists practising in Portugal to join our online clinic. Through our platform, you will carry out remote urology consultations with patients across the country, with full flexibility to manage your working model.
- 100% remote — consultations from anywhere, by video, with access to the patient's tests and lab results
- Flexible hours — choose the hours and days that suit you best
- Main or complementary activity — ideal as a complement to an existing practice or hospital work
- Clear referral pathways — defined protocols for immediately referring urgent cases (e.g. acute urinary retention, macroscopic haematuria, suspected testicular torsion) to in-person care
- Fully integrated electronic prescriptions — including renewal of chronic medication, with no additional paperwork

Who we are looking for
- A valid professional licence in Portugal (registration with the Ordem dos Médicos)
- Specialisation in Urology
- Experience with telemedicine tools is an advantage (training and onboarding support provided)
- Fluent Portuguese; English is an advantage given our international team, and Spanish, Romanian or Czech are a bonus given our presence in those markets
