What Your Consultation Includes

Comprehensive Clinical AssessmentYour doctor will conduct a detailed review of your medical history, current symptoms, menstrual and reproductive history, medications, hormonal indicators, and lifestyle factors — building a complete clinical picture tailored to your specific concerns.

Hormonal & Metabolic EvaluationWomen's health symptoms frequently have hormonal or metabolic roots that are missed in standard acute appointments. Your doctor will assess the full hormonal picture where relevant — including thyroid function, reproductive hormones, and metabolic indicators.

Personalised Clinical Management PlanBased on your assessment, your doctor will advise on appropriate next steps — which may include lifestyle recommendations, referral for blood tests or specialist assessment, clinical recommendations at the doctor's professional discretion, or coordination of ongoing care.

Referral & Care CoordinationWhere gynaecological, endocrinological, or other specialist input is needed, your doctor will advise clearly and coordinate referral to the appropriate service — ensuring nothing falls through the gaps between primary and specialist care.

Ongoing Care PathwayWhere your condition requires structured long-term management — hormonal conditions, PCOS, endometriosis, or menopause — your doctor will advise on the most appropriate ongoing care pathway.

Why Women's Health Deserves Its Own Consultation

Women's health conditions are chronically underdiagnosed and undertreated. Endometriosis takes an average of eight years to diagnose. PCOS affects one in ten women and is frequently missed or mismanaged. Perimenopause symptoms are routinely dismissed as anxiety or stress. Hormonal contributors to mood, weight, skin, and energy are consistently underassessed in standard acute appointments.

A dedicated women's health consultation exists because these conditions require clinical time, hormonal literacy, and a doctor who approaches your symptoms with the full context of women's health — not a 15-minute acute slot designed for a chest infection.

A Note on Confidentiality

Women's health concerns — particularly those involving contraception, sexual health, hormonal conditions, and menopause — are among the most personal medical matters a patient can discuss. Our consultations are conducted via encrypted video call, in full compliance with Irish and EU data protection law. Your records are not shared without your explicit consent, and your consultation is completely private.

Why Patients Choose Us

Irish-registered doctorsAll assessments are conducted by doctors registered to practise in Ireland, operating to full GP-level clinical standards — the same standard you would receive from an in-person GP visit.

Same-day and scheduled appointmentsAvailable the same day for urgent concerns, or scheduled in advance for planned reviews — because women's health care should fit around your life, not the other way around.

Fully confidentialEncrypted video consultation, strict GDPR compliance, and complete clinical privacy. No receptionists, no waiting rooms, no one who knows your name at the front desk.

Hormonal literacyOur doctors approach women's health with the clinical depth it requires — including assessment of hormonal, metabolic, psychological, and lifestyle contributors that are frequently missed in standard appointments.

Multi-lingualConsultations available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Czech, and Romanian — particularly relevant for Ireland's international and expat female population, who frequently face additional barriers to accessing women's health care in a new country.

Expat and international community focusNavigating contraception, hormonal care, or menopause management in a country where you have no registered GP is genuinely difficult. We provide the clinical continuity and personalised care that expat and international women in Ireland need.

Prescriptions, referrals, and medical certificates may be issued only when clinically appropriate and at the doctor's discretion. Our doctors do not routinely prescribe controlled substances through online consultations. Electronic sick leave certificates are not accepted by the Department of Social Protection in Ireland. Backdated sick notes are not routinely issued due to the lack of a direct clinical assessment at the time of illness.
