Dr. Rúben Pereira, MD

Dr. Rúben Pereira is a medical doctor with a strong academic background and growing clinical experience across psychiatry, emergency medicine, and general medical care.

He is currently a Specialist Training Resident in Psychiatry at the Unidade Local de Saúde da Região de Leiria, where he is developing in-depth expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Alongside his specialist training, Dr. Ruben Pereira has worked as a Service Provider in Emergency Departments at the Unidade Local de Saúde de Gaia e Espinho and the Unidade Local de Saúde da Região de Aveiro, managing acute medical and psychiatric presentations in high-pressure clinical environments.

Dr. Ruben Pereira completed his Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL). He also holds a Specialisation Course in Sports Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), reflecting a particular interest in the intersection between physical performance, mental well-being, and overall health. His academic background further includes a Master’s Degree in Oncology from ICBAS – University of Porto and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ruben Pereira has been involved in scientific research, with publications indexed in PubMed, and has completed the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, strengthening his expertise in sports-related and performance medicine.
