Dr. Arooj Iqbal Lodhi is a highly motivated and compassionate physician registered with both the Irish Medical Council and the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, bringing extensive international clinical experience across hospital and primary care settings.

She currently works as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in General Internal Medicine at South Tipperary General Hospital, where she manages both virtual and in-person outpatient follow-ups, conducts ward rounds alongside consultants, and actively participates in continuous medical education. Her role involves evidence-based decision making, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centred care.

Dr. Lodhi has broad experience as a General Practitioner, managing acute and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, dermatological conditions, mental health presentations, women’s health, and preventive care. She emphasizes patient education, lifestyle counselling, and shared decision-making to support long-term health outcomes.

Her clinical background also includes hands-on experience in paediatrics, psychiatry, gynaecology and obstetrics, general medicine, and ophthalmic surgery, providing her with a strong multidisciplinary perspective. She has performed newborn assessments, contributed to neonatal resuscitation, managed psychiatric conditions such as anxiety and depression, and developed strong procedural skills including phlebotomy, cannulation, catheterisation, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Lodhi holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) and maintains current certification in BLS and ACLS. She is passionate about delivering safe, evidence-based, and empathetic care while maintaining excellent communication with patients and their families.
