Dr. Egas Moura Specialist Physician in Pediatrics

Dr. Egas Moura is a specialist physician in Pediatrics with over 20 years of clinical experience in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Neonatology, working in hospital settings, private clinics, and international health programs.

He graduated in Medicine from the University of Porto (ICBAS) and completed his specialization in Pediatrics at Hospital Geral de Santo António in Porto. Throughout his career, he has held positions of high responsibility, including Head of the Pediatrics Department and Clinical Director, having led medical teams and actively participated in the implementation of clinical standards, care protocols, and continuous quality improvement programs.

He is currently working as a Senior Pediatric Consultant in Bahrain, where he was responsible for leading the Pediatrics Department of a hospital accredited with Diamond Level Quality, reflecting his strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and best medical practices.

Dr. Egas Moura has extensive experience in caring for children from the neonatal period through adolescence, including monitoring growth and development, disease prevention, vaccination, management of acute and chronic conditions, as well as emergency situations. He is certified in Pediatric Basic and Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation, with solid practice in high-complexity clinical environments.

Alongside his clinical work, he has a strong background in medical education, having directed residency training programs and participated in the training of physicians and healthcare professionals in Portugal and in international projects, namely in Guinea-Bissau.

He is a member of several prestigious medical organizations, including the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is registered with multiple international medical boards and regulatory authorities.
