Dr. Lucas Alvarenga Berto

Medical Doctor – General Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Telemedicine

Dr. Lucas Alvarenga Berto is a medical doctor graduated from José do Rosário Vellano University (UNIFENAS – Brazil), with medical degree recognition in Portugal by the University of Porto and authorization to practice medicine independently in Portugal. He is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Health at Lusófona University of Porto, strengthening his integrated approach to health, prevention, and physical performance.

He has solid experience in emergency medicine, having worked in reference institutions such as ULS Matosinhos, Trofa Saúde Alfena, and Trofa Saúde Bonfim, in addition to extensive experience in telemedicine with Unimed. His professional background also includes experience in General and Family Medicine, outpatient clinical practice, sports medicine, and athlete monitoring.

Dr. Lucas completed a medical residency in Internal Medicine, with clinical rotations in areas such as cardiology, intensive care, nephrology, infectious diseases, and family medicine, in Brazil as well as in Portugal and France, providing him with a broad and multidisciplinary clinical perspective.

He holds certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) and actively participates in scientific congresses, maintaining continuous professional development and adherence to evidence-based medicine.

Fluent in Portuguese and English, with good knowledge of Spanish, Dr. Lucas delivers compassionate, rigorous, and patient-centered care focused on prevention, accurate diagnosis, and continuous follow-up.
